This year, our town decided to decorate it’s train station with lights. They haven’t done it before, so we didn’t know what to expect. They have a light show set to music as well. We had intended to see this, but there was another event happening as well.
At the library, there was as story and craft event going on. We went downtown for this event and expected to see the light show as well. For much of the story time, I was trying to keep Malcolm happy. He wanted to pick up everything and pull on it or carry it around. After the stories were done, there were several craft stations set around the room, and a couple of games as well. The kids all had a blast with the crafts and games.
Once the crafts were done, there were a couple of songs. For the last song, they brought out a long string with bells tied to it. Malcolm liked that quite a bit!
We left after the song and drove over past the train station. The kids were really impressed with the lights, but we were at the wrong time for the show, which presents each hour. That would have to wait for another night.
